ØdB.live Royalty Audit

ØdB.live uses an advanced ontology to build royalty graphs connecting musical works, recordings, rights, usage and payments.

The model identifies confirmed unmatched mechanical-rights records and uses them to produce an initial estimated range of potentially unclaimed global mechanical royalties. Distributor and APRA AMCOS statements are then used to reconcile reported payments and investigate the broader royalty picture, including performance royalties and potential payment gaps.

The grant proposes onboarding and auditing 250 NSW artists across different music genres and career stages. This diverse cohort will support substantial model refinement, empirical calibration and validation. Their statements will help assess estimation error, identify systematic bias and recalibrate the initial estimated ranges.

Preliminary beta testing with dozens of artists has identified a substantial estimated aggregate value of potentially unclaimed royalties, providing a strong basis for evidence-based investigation and claims. The onboarding study will validate these findings and quantify the uncertainty in the estimates.

Audits can take up to 10 minutes for large catalogues; you can close this window and return while processing continues.
